Bethel sponsors Cadets, a ministry for boys. The Cadets have a work room in the church building, and meet at Bethel on Wednesday nights. Woodworking and outdoor skills are taught, and there are indoor and outdoor events scheduled during the year.

You can learn more about the worldwide Cadet program here.

The boys will have an opportunity to complete merit badges like camping, glass etching, model rocketry, wood working and more. They will get hands on experience learning to use power tools and hand tools safely. The Bethel Cadets attend the Annual Kickoff Campout with many of the Cadets clubs from the southern suburbs and NW Indiana in September. The Bethel Cadet Club also has a winter retreat with great outdoor activities. They also participate in the Model Derby Races in March or April. Regular meetings also include Bible lessons. This is a great opportunity for boys to explore new things, learn new skills and learn more about the diverse world God has given us!
